Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective date: September 23, 2026

This Policy applies to paid Talmi plans and should be read together with the Talmi Terms of Use. Payments and refunds are processed through Paddle, Talmi's authorized reseller or merchant of record. Paddle's applicable buyer terms and mandatory consumer rights in your location always prevail where they provide greater rights.

1. Cancellation

You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time through your Talmi account or by emailing billing@talmi.ai. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You will keep access until then and will not be charged for the next period.

Normal cancellation does not create a refund or credit for unused time. Forgetting to cancel before an automatic renewal does not create an automatic refund right. Exceptions apply where required by law, Paddle's applicable terms, or this Policy.

A whole-degree plan is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation unless Talmi clearly states otherwise.

2. Technical Problems

You may request a remedy if a material, ongoing technical problem caused by Talmi prevents you from using a paid feature and Talmi has had a reasonable opportunity to investigate and fix it. Submit the request while the problem continues or within 14 days after Talmi confirms that it has been resolved.

Depending on the duration, severity, affected features, and available alternatives, Talmi may provide a fix, access extension, service credit, partial refund, or full refund. No specific remedy or service level is guaranteed unless required by law.

Problems caused by the user's device, internet connection, unsupported software, account misuse, or an independent third-party service generally do not qualify unless Talmi is legally responsible.

3. Incorrect Charges

A verified duplicate or incorrect charge will be corrected or refunded in full. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact billing@talmi.ai promptly so that Talmi and Paddle can review it. This does not limit any lawful payment-dispute rights.

4. Discontinued Paid Service

If Talmi permanently stops providing a paid plan or supported degree program during a prepaid period and cannot provide a substantially similar alternative, the unused prepaid portion will be calculated on a straight-line basis from the discontinuation date through the scheduled end of the paid access period. The refund will equal 50% of that unused prepaid portion.

For example, if 50% of the paid access period remains unused, the refund will equal 25% of the original amount paid. If applicable law or Paddle's terms require a greater refund, the greater mandatory amount will apply.

5. Other Refund Rules and Requests

A user's decision to stop studying, change institutions, change programs or majors, transfer, or stop using Talmi does not create a refund right, except where required by law. Talmi may offer tools supporting transfers or institutional changes in the future, but their availability is not guaranteed.

Price reductions, new promotions, or coupons introduced after purchase do not create a retroactive refund or credit. Discounted purchases and coupons follow the same policy unless the offer clearly states otherwise.

To request a refund or billing review, email billing@talmi.ai with the account email, purchase details, transaction information if available, the reason for the request, and any relevant evidence. Talmi may request reasonable information needed to verify and evaluate the request.

If approved, Talmi will coordinate with Paddle to return the amount to the original payment method where possible. Processing time depends on Paddle, the payment method, and the financial institution, and Talmi cannot guarantee a specific arrival date.
