Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Talmi, operated by TALMI.AI LTD (company no. 517403101). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using Talmi, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cancellation and Refund Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

1. What Talmi Provides

Talmi is an independent academic-planning and career-exploration aid. It is not a university, official academic record, academic adviser, career adviser, financial adviser, or employment service. Talmi uses public academic information, user inputs, automated rules, and AI-assisted features that may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking plans, prerequisites, degree requirements, course availability, deadlines, costs, eligibility, and other material decisions with your institution or qualified adviser.

Career information, skill mappings, salary information, and employment-related outputs are estimates for exploration only. Talmi does not guarantee admission, eligibility, graduation timing, cost savings, degree completion, academic results, employment, salary, or career outcomes.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify support@talmi.ai of suspected unauthorized use. Your account and plan are personal and may not be shared, transferred, rented, or sold. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by Talmi's failure to use reasonable safeguards.

3. Your Information

You retain ownership of personal information and original content you submit. You give Talmi a limited right to host, process, reproduce, and use it as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You must not upload information that you do not have the right to use. Public university catalogs, course information, program requirements, Talmi-generated analyses, and Talmi's underlying datasets are not your submitted content.

If you provide feedback or suggestions, Talmi may use them without restriction or compensation, provided that Talmi handles any personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

4. Talmi Rights

Talmi and its licensors own the service, software, design, databases, academic-data structure, analyses, branding, and related intellectual property. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Talmi for your own academic and career planning in accordance with these Terms.

You may not scrape or systematically extract the service; copy or sell Talmi databases; reverse engineer the service; use automated access without permission; bypass access or payment controls; introduce malware; impersonate another person; attack, overload, or disrupt systems; use Talmi data or outputs to train a competing system; resell the service; infringe intellectual-property rights; or use Talmi unlawfully.

5. Plans and Payments

Talmi may offer a Free plan, a Degree Optimization plan, and a Degree Optimization + Career plan. Features, limits, prices, currencies, taxes, and available upgrade options are shown in Talmi or at checkout and may change for future purchases.

A one-year paid plan automatically renews for additional one-year periods at the price disclosed before renewal unless canceled. You may cancel through Talmi or by emailing billing@talmi.ai. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and access normally continues until the end of the paid period. A whole-degree plan is a one-time purchase that provides access for up to six years from the purchase date, unless a different period is clearly disclosed before purchase.

Upgrades, added features, and any related charges or credits will be shown before confirmation. Downgrade options, if available, take effect as disclosed when selected. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the authorized reseller or merchant of record and applies its buyer terms. A Free plan is not a free trial.

Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation unless Talmi clearly states otherwise. Deleting an account may permanently remove access and personal account information and does not by itself create a refund right. Cancellation and refund rights are described in the Cancellation and Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights and applicable Paddle terms always apply.

6. Beta, Lifetime, and Service Changes

Beta features may change, contain errors, or be removed. Lifetime access granted to eligible beta users covers Talmi's generally available features for as long as Talmi continues to operate the service. It is personal, non-transferable, has no cash value, and may be revoked for fraud, abuse, account sharing, or material breach.

Talmi may add, improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features or plans. If Talmi discontinues paid access before the end of a prepaid period, any remedy will be determined under the Cancellation and Refund Policy and applicable law.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach, abuse, fraud, non-payment, account sharing, infringement, security threats, misuse of Talmi data, or legal risk. Where reasonable and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. A suspension or termination caused by fraud, abuse, chargeback misconduct, account sharing, or another material breach generally does not entitle the user to a refund, except where required by law. You may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and Liability

Talmi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or continued availability of any specific feature, institution, program, course, or third-party service. Links and third-party services are governed by their own terms, and Talmi is not responsible for their independent actions.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential losses, including lost opportunities, academic delay, lost data, or lost income. Talmi's total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid Talmi for the affected service during the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

9. Governing Law and Changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without limiting mandatory rights available in your country of residence. Disputes will be submitted to courts of competent jurisdiction in Israel unless applicable law permits or requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms as Talmi develops or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where required. Continued use after an update becomes effective means acceptance, except where express consent is legally required.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Talmi may assign these Terms as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the service. You may not assign your account or rights under these Terms without our written consent. These Terms and the policies referenced above form the agreement governing your use of Talmi.
